  11.         This mailing list is maintained by me, Dave Rankin and is provided to
  12. the Net community as is.  Use at your own risk.  :-)

  14.      This is the CNet mailing list which is for the discussion of the CNet
  15. BBS software and all issues relating to it.  This list seeks to provide the
  16. CNet user or other interested parties with information on events, tips and
  17. other informational clutter by providing a forum for discussion.
  18.  
  19.      Comments concerning the CNet mailing list should be sent to
  20. cnet-admin@megalith.miami.fl.us.  To subscribe, unsubscribe or receive
  21. the FAQ for CNet send mail to cnet-request@megalith.miami.fl.us
  22. with any of the following commands in the body of your message:
  23.  
  24.     HELP
  25.           Sends this file.  This is also sent whenever a message to cnet
  26.           is received from which no valid command could be parsed.
  27.           
  28.     ADD [address]
  29.     DELETE [address]
  30.           Adds or deletes the given address to or from the list.  Mail is
  31.           sent to the address given to confirm the add or delete operation.
  32.           If you omit the 'address' the command will assume the mailbox that
  33.           is in the From:  line of the message.  Note that SUBSCRIBE is a
  34.           synonym for ADD; UNSUBSCRIBE for DELETE.

  36.     FAQ
  37.           No FAQ is currently available although one is planned.
  38.  
  39.     A command must be the first word on each line in the message.  Lines
  40. which do not start with a command word results in the HELP file being sent.
  41. A single message may contain multiple commands; some commands may result in
  42. a separate reply (namely FAQ, HELP) while others will just write something
  43. to the logfile.  You will always receive a response to any command found in
  44. the mail.

  46.      Once you are subscribed, you can post to the list by sending your
  47. articles to cnet@megalith.miami.fl.us.  You will receive a receipt when
  48. your article is received and your article will be exploded to everyone on
  49. the mailinglist.
  50.  
  51.         If you subscribed and don't receive articles for a while there could
  52. be two reasons.
  53.  
  54.         1) List mail sent to you was bounced by your host for whatever reason.
  55. If a Bounce occurs your name is removed from the Mailing list.  Sometimes I
  56. try to contact the person before I do remove them, but work loads on my
  57. side are great and I may not have time to sit down and try.  In which case
  58. your name would be removed without sending notice.
  59.  
  60.         2) There is no activity in the list.  If such is the case, you may
  61. query the listserver by trying to resubscribe using the above instructions.
  62. If you are already subscribed, the listserv will inform you of that fact
  63. and you can rest assured that there has been no activity.
  64.  
  65.         If you feel you have been deleted from the list, try and resubscribe.
  66. If you have been deleted you will be added again.
